Lily Lee, MD
Like many living in Southern California, Dr. Lee is a transplant. Her Chinese ethnicity, Texan upbringing, Midwestern education, and California surgical training has contributed to a well-rounded medical practice.
After graduating high school in Houston, Texas as a National Merit Scholar, she attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, on full scholarship, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Lee then obtained her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University, which is consistently ranked among the top 20 Medical Schools in the United States by US News & World Report.
Having experienced both hot and cold climates, Dr. Lee was more than ready for a more moderate climate. She matched into her first choice at the University of Southern California where she completed her General and Plastic Surgery Training. During her 10-year surgical training period (after medical school), Dr. Lee completed a fellowship in Burn Surgery at the Los Angeles County Regional Burn Center.
During her residency, Dr. Lee was very active in taking bench research to clinical applications induring her residency. Her desire to bring hair growth to children with severe burn injuries resulted in research which culminated in a U.S. Patent for hair growth. She has presented her work at numerous national and international forums and won many awards for her scientific contributions as a plastic surgeon.
Dr. Lee is a board- certified plastic surgeon and active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, California Society of Plastic Surgeons, Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Medical Association. She is now owns a in private plastic surgery practice in Pasadena and Palm Desert, CA, with a particular focus in complex revision rhinoplasty and Asian eyelid aesthetic surgeries.
In her free time, Dr. Lee enjoys golf and outdoor activities with her husband, Dr. Tom Chang, and her daughter. Dr. Lee and her husband are involved with The Pasadena Playhouse, research at the California Institute of Technology- (Caltech), and Foothill Family Service. They also and contribute to several charities supporting higher education for underprivileged Coachella Valley students.
Dr. Lee specializes in many procedures, including abdominoplasty, aging treatment, arm tuck, blepharoplasty, tummy tuck, botox injections, breast lift, brow lift, ear tuck, fat grafting, laser eyelid surgery, laser skin treatment, ptosis eye surgery, rhinoplasty, and wrinkle treatment.
